Bed bugs pulled a number on the seniors of Clayton County in Georgia. And as anyone dealing with those critters would want, the elders voiced out they would like them wiped out.
The tiny vampire-like pests particularly plagued the county’s Governor’s Terrace, an elderly housing in Forest Park. However, the management said that only a few of its rooms were affected.
Among those claimed few units affected was that of Shirley McCoy. According to her, the pest invaded her mattress that she now just sleeps in a bag in her couch.
But when the crawlies were found, regional property manager, Kay Davis, stated that they took prompt actions to get the problem solved. Nevertheless, regarding the furniture of the residents thrown out during the pest-control treatment, she said that they wouldn’t replace them. They could, however, refer the tenants to the services in the area if there’s a need for it, she added.
