Bed bugs are loving the libraries. As a report has it, they infested yet another one recently. And that is the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library in Ohio.
Traces of the critters were found in the facility in three instances already. But initially, they were detected back in November or December when one of them was found in a returned material. To contain the pest in it, it was said that the book was put in a zipped plastic bag and was later treated in high heat.

Library spoke person Jean Ruark said that from that first bed bug encounter, they had since been trying to counter the critters. And as stated, the latest step that they implemented was on January 23rd, when they brought in a bed-bug-sniffing dog for a more thorough inspection.
The action detected many traces of the crawlies in the children and adult department of the facility. Upholstered benches, magazines and books were among those found to have signs of the pest. To get rid of any possible critters in them, the benches were then destroyed and replaced with wooden chairs. Meanwhile, the affected reading materials were treated and re-inspected before they were returned to their places.

Ruark shared that the local health department deemed there was no need to close the library as the management was taking the appropriate steps to fight the pest. And as she assured, guests will be informed of any update about the situation.

Bed bugs becoming common in libraries shows that they are even more prevalent these days. And that means there is now an even bigger possibility of them infesting your place. Worse, they could do that without you knowing until it has become already too late.
Because of that, you got to be very wary of those critters. You or any member of your family could pick them anywhere so, know the bed bug signs and be sure to take preventive measures.
Also, you got to get yourself a bed bug spray. As you might already know, those vampire-like pests are sneaky. And that helps you avoid the worst of the problems they could bring.

But don’t just pick any bed bug spray. Many of them contain harsh chemical ingredients that could bring you more problems than help so pick Bed Bug Bully instead.
