Many New Jersey residents haven’t still fully recovered from Hurricane Sandy’s effects. And as previous reports have indicated, mold is among those major reasons. In fact, even until today, it could still be a problem to many of the victims, although, a number of them may not know of its presence in their houses yet.
So, to help its residents, the Monmouth County warned them about mold infestation anywhere in their homes. Additionally, the officials gave some tips as to how to find mold and get rid of its infestation.

According to John P. Curley, liaison to the Monmouth County Health Department, mold could damage properties and risk people’s health. The longer it infests a home, the more difficult it is to clear. Hence, it advised the public to thoroughly inspect for mold in their homes and businesses.

“Monmouth County officials advise residents to be on the lookout for signs of mold in areas of your home and property that may have been impacted by Superstorm Sandy.
Mold can damage your home, possessions and cause health problems,” said Freeholder John P. Curley, liaison to the Monmouth County Health Department. “The longer you allow mold to grow, the greater the risk and the more difficult the cleanup. As we continue to recover from Superstorm Sandy, it is important to perform a thorough inspection to be sure there are no lingering mold hazards in your home or business.”
