It could have been a nice moment for Jeff Lawhun and his family when they ate out at one Bucyrus restaurant last week. But a roach just got to show up and ruin everything – in a very gross way, nonetheless.
The cake served at the restaurant was discovered to contain a cockroach. And too bad for Lawhun, he had to eat a piece of it to find that out.

As he described it, he was eating a part of that cake when he felt something moving inside his mouth. When he spat it out, he found out that it was a live cockroach. He said that he was not charged for his meal but because no roaches were seen on their other foods and drinks, they were made to pay for it.
Following the incident, Lawhun filed a complaint in Crawford County Health Department on January 21. And as the department’s record show, since 2008, the restaurant had several violations listed and that includes infestation of cockroaches.
