A mold case was discovered in Florida’s Washington County Courthouse. And because of the health risks it presented, the facility was shut down recently.
It was four months ago when the building was tested for mold. Last December 9, the result came out and the fungus’ presence was confirmed.

In total, there were 12 types of mold found in the courthouse with five of them deemed harmful to health. They particularly contaminated the basement, the first, second and third floors of the building. Nonetheless, it was determined that the third floor got the most dangerous types of spores.

But County Judge Colby Peel said that there were security issues in the relocation sites. And so, the officials were taking steps to get funding and support to get everybody back in one courthouse.
