Bed bugs used to be just characters in a rhyme. But these days, they have become a real scare. According to Moore, their unit in Houston Arms Apartments in Texas is plagued by bed bugs. He said they have been living in the complex for three years and its bed bug problem has just gotten worse over the years.

Because of the presence of those pesky critters, Moore said that he was forced to throw away their furniture. They couldn’t get new ones either because they would just be infested by those vampire-like crawlies as well. And because of all that, they are planning to just move out.

Meanwhile, the owner of the apartment remained unresponsive when contacted about the problem. The Ector County Health Department also said that they couldn’t do anything about it considering that the complex is a private property.

“Residents at the Houston Arms Apartments are claiming bed bugs have crawled their way inside their homes, infesting and laying eggs all over their belongings and they say nothing is being done about it.
“Now I’m in the bind of moving because I cant get rid of the bed bugs. I can’t move in new furniture because they’re going to attract to my new furniture and then there goes more money down the drain,” Odessa resident, Nicholas Moore, said.”
