The vampire-like critters are at it again – pestering campuses.
Very recently, those small but horrible bed bugs were reportedly sighted in Indiana University. Particularly, they were found at the Bloomington campus library, the Herman B. Wells Library.

The said pests specifically affected the fifth floor of the building. A staff found one of them crawling on the wall of her cubicle. Later, a different employee saw another one on the same spot.

It was a good thing that the area contaminated is not open to students. And as believed, the problem wasn’t too big given that no other bed bugs were found after the reported initial sightings. Nonetheless, the university is not taking any chances. To ensure that the area is free from those crawlies, inspection was implemented and traps were set up.
Moreover, IU Environmental Health and Safety director Mike Jenson said that they had also taken a number of preventive measures. He detailed that they have been monitoring bed bugs and will continue to do so for the rest of the week. In addition, they’ve also educated the staff about bed bugs.
