Being the small and terrible pests that they are, bed bugs could bring in a lot of problems. And recently, a man from a hotel in Indiana and a woman who stayed at a shelter in Pennsylvania had a first-hand experience of some of those problems.
The man bugged by those pesky creatures in Indiana was identified as Randy Sims in a report from wthitv.com. He stayed in Econo Lodge in Terre Haute but was unfortunately forced to move out because of bed bugs.

After Sims reported the problem, a pest-control company was said called in to clean the affected room. The entire building connected to it was also set to be treated.

This recent bed bug incident was the third time for Econo Lodge in five years.
Here’s a part of the report about Bed Bugs Reported in Econo Lodge by wthitv.com
“One resident of the Econo Lodge in Terre Haute reported a bed bug problem in his room.
Randy Sims is moving out of the motel now, and the hotel is moving in for clean up.
Bed bugs aren’t a Health Department issue, according to the Vigo County Health Department, but they are reported as a frustrating insect by nearly everyone that comes into contact with them.”
Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, a woman woke up full of bed bug bites after a stay at The Women’s Center, Incorporated of Columbia/Montour in Bloomberg.
With no place to stay with her three kids, the woman, who wants to be only identified as Karri, said that she came to the shelter. However, when she checked in, she stated that she was not informed that the facility was dealing with a bed bug issue for months already. Neither was she told that her room was the one previously infested by bed bugs.

Upset, Karri shared that the morning after she checked in, she found a dead bed bug on her along with bed bug bites all over. Though her room was then sprayed, she added that her claims about the pests’ bites were received with doubt.
Nonetheless, in an official statement, the management of the facility confirmed the bed bug issue in the building. They expressed that the pests were introduced to the shelter by a recent client and that they were taking the actions necessary to protect the residents.
Here’s an excerpt from the report.
“And then the next morning I woke up and I was bitten all over me.” A 24-year-old woman who only wants to be identified as Karri showed Eyewitness News the numerous bed bug bites she suffered virtually from head to toe. Where she claims she got them is just as troubling. Karri says it happened last week at The Women’s Center, Incorporated of Columbia/Montour located in Bloomsburg. After she and her three children found themselves without a place to stay, Karri contacted the shelter. “We got into the shelter and they told us they wanted just to spray our things because they know that there were bed bugs going around but they didn’t say that they had them.”
