The mold problem in Meridian School has been going on for several weeks already. And until today, there was no specific solution to it yet. Needless to say, that upsets the parents.
When the mold was first discovered in the school a month ago, officials determined that about $6 million would be needed to solve the problem. The money, it was said, would be used either in renovating the affected building or in adding a new one to accommodate the elementary class previously held in the wing shut down by the mold infestation.

But because the money is too big for the school to shoulder alone, authorities asked the state for some help. And as it was reported almost two weeks ago, Rep. Brandon Phelps promised that action would be taken to resolve the mold problem.
So far though, neither renovation of the building nor addition of a new wing has been started. Meridian Elementary principal Brent Boren stated that they need a cost estimate to know which of those two options will be implemented.

But disappointed parents as Gregory Woods said the problem was known for sometime now and that its official cost should have been determined already. Moreover, though Boren stated that help was just held-up due to all the processes, Woods believe no help is coming anytime before the school opening.

“Parents in Meridian school district are frustrated that school leaders have not decided how to fix toxic mold in the elementary school.
“As long as it’s safe for the students that is my number one concern,” said Meridian Elementary principal Brent Boren. “The main holdup is going through all the processes. There is no one person to blame. It’s difficult.”
The state needs a cost estimate to decide between renovating or moving students to the high school by adding on.”

Mold could trigger allergies, asthma and breathing difficulties. Its black mold specie could even bring more serious health threats as lung and nose bleeding. And sure thing any parent would be frustrated to know that his or her child’s school presents such risks.
But the thing is, mold could infest any place. In fact, houses are more vulnerable to their presence because of the moisture in them everyday.
Because of that, you must always see to it that mold spores are not growing in your place. Besides that, you must also always be ready to implement a mold removal process, just in case. Else, you will make yourself and your family susceptible to mold risks.
Take note though that you must detect mold early so you could prevent a costly treatment. A do-it-yourself mold removal is only applicable to an infestation less than 10 square feet. Any mold problem wider than that must be treated by a professional mold contractor. And usually, that costs around $1000.
How to Detect Mold Early?
With the huge expense tagging with a wide mold infestation, it is, therefore, essential that you discover your mold problem early. To do that, you have to be alert of musty smell, leaks and discoloration or dark spots on your walls and ceiling. If you encounter any of them, conduct a thorough inspection on areas most likely inhabited by mold.

How to Remove Mold Fast and Safe?
When you locate the infestation, promptly implement a mold removal process to prevent the mold’s further spread. And probably the best help you could get for that is Molderizer. It kills mold in seconds and prevents its spores’ re-growth with its changing of their DNA make-up.
Followed by Safe Shield, the surface or item treated by Molderizer is even more protected. That’s because it provides a barrier that repels new spores preventing them from starting another infestation.

In terms of their effects to health, you got nothing to worry about as they are both made with organic ingredients.
