Bed bugs are pretty fond of infesting apartments. That’s generally because of its high turnover rate given that every months or so, complexes got new residents. Add to that the arrangement of units, which makes it easier for the pests to spread from one room to another.
One of those complexes that recently became a victim of those small, brownish and blood-feeding crawlies was the Sera Bella Apartments in Phoenix. A tenant of it named Nicole Lea was the one who brought the bed bug presence in the complex to the attention of the public. And thanks to that, the infestation was treated.

As expected, the complex’s management was not pleased about its publicized bed bug trouble. But with Maricopa County Environmental Services joining in to investigate the many other bed bug complaints by more tenants, Sera Bella Apartments was left with no choice but to hire a pest-control company to resolve the problem.

Nicole Lea related that after the professional treatment, the complex had been free from the vampire-like pests. However, the management is still not off the hook. And that’s because the Arizona Office of Pest Management said that the fact the complex did not initially get a licensed exterminator to take care of the problem must be addressed.

No more bed bugs! It’s a problem Nicole Lea brought to the attention of 3 On Your Side recently. However, as you may recall, it wasn’t a problem management at Sera Bella Apartments wanted her to tell us about. ”
