A man from Cedar Rapids in Iowa has had enough of bed bugs. So, in an attempt to get his community to help him battle the tiny vampires, he got his bed bug problem penned out.
George Halfhill has been living for more than a year or two in an apartment with bed bugs. According to his account, his family has been waking up with red bites, no thanks to those small but terrible creatures.

But the infestation wasn’t unique to just his unit. As he shared, the other three rooms in his apartment building were also infested by the bloodsuckers.
Given that the pests are difficult to rid though, Halfhill set out to ask for his community’s help. He put a sign out of his window saying, “bed bugs 2 + years, help.” He also sent a letter to the city’s office informing it about his complex’s bed bug problem.

Halfhil stated that bed bug elimination is a community concern hence, it must be done that way. And though landlords are not required by the law to tell tenants about any of their encounters with bed bugs as Ruby Perin with Linn County Public Health said, still he cited that landlords should work with the residents if they want to rent out spaces in their area.
