One thing so aggravating about bed bugs is that they could always come back. You could eliminate them so effectively, but if you don’t follow that up, they could sneak in again and cause you more problems. And sadly for one government housing complex in Connecticut, that is exactly what’s happening.
Despite the inspection and extermination done to kill bed bugs, residents of Community Towers in Meriden complained that the pests are still everywhere. Having enough of the said blood-suckers, they are trying to get the city’s housing board to do something about it.

Judith Rodriguez is among those residents suffering from the pests. She got bed bug bites on her and threw a number of her furniture, couch, pillows, and her king-size bed, because of the critters. In the way she shared her story, the paranoia that bed bugs brought in is evident.
However, Harold Ince Jr., the Director of Asset Management and Maintenance, said that Rodriguez’s unit was already fumigated. The problem was that she washed off the solution after the exterminators left. Rodriguez did not deny the claim and reasoned that she did it because of her asthma. Ince countered the chemical was odorless and colorless so it shouldn’t have affected her.

Nevertheless, the housing authority said that they would inspect Community Towers again to know how to deal with the comeback of the bed bugs.

“That’s fresh, that’s fresh,” said Judith Rodriguez, a Community Towers resident.
The marks on Judith Rodriguez are the result of creepy, crawly, bed bugs.”
