It was just one bed bug. Yet, it was enough to spur Biddeford Middle School officials into action.
The lone vampire-like critter was found in the clothing of one of the school’s students in February 06, 2014. Following its discovery, a letter was then sent to parents informing them of the problem. Some information about the symptoms, as the bed bug bites, was also added there to help the parents protect their children.

The school said that an infestation in the campus is unlikely to happen. Superintendent Jeremy Ray also stated that the crawlies can be quite common, so, there’s no need to panic.

Nevertheless, to prevent the transfer of the critters, Ray gave out an advice. Addressing it to the parents, he said that it would be best to remind their kids to keep their clothes clean and away from those of other children.
