Mold has Fulton County Purchasing Department’s office abandoned. And it was all because of the flood that plagued its conference room earlier this month.
The department’s seventeen employees had been wearing mask since the flooding incident to protect their health. And finally, on the afternoon of January 16, they were able to take it off as they were moved out from the said mold-infested office to a government building in Pyor Street.
According to County Commissioner Robb Pitts, the problem and the fact that it was an emergency situation was not explained to the board of commissioners. Hence, it was not dealt with promptly.
Meanwhile, Fulton County Commissioner John Eaves said that they would vote on the issue at their next board meeting to get the mold treatment completed.
