A mold outbreak recently took place in River Strand community in Florida. And needless to say, the residents were upset of it. However, the developer said that the fault wasn’t on their end.
Among those residents who’re having a hard time because of the spores’ presence were RJ and Sharon Dominic. Their 1,450-square-foot condo at River Strand cost them $30,000 for mold treatment. They asked Lennar, the developer, to reimburse them the expense after hiring an air management quality and finding out the cause of the problem was a deign flaw that allowed the installation of an AC unit too large for the space.
Lennar though said that the Dominics left their unit without proper for a long time. And so, they refuse to give the requested reimbursement.
Besides, the Dominics, other residents of the community also expressed they have similar mold problems. Anita and Louis Podolinsky were among them and they were asking for reimbursement as well for the $50,000 that they spent for mold remediation and replacement of damaged items.
