Bed bugs are everywhere these days. They show up in hospitals, hotels, residences and even in unexpected places as offices, stores, theaters and buses. Because of that, you always need to be extra careful not to pick them up.
One way to keep those critters away is to not bring second-hand items to your house. But sadly for one woman in Indiana, she learned that the hard way.

In a report from wsbt.com, a woman who only identified herself as Stacy complained of bed bugs on her rented couch. Based on her account, she rented the furniture from Rent-A-Center. However, it was said that she did not know it was infested by the critters until a month after when she and her household already got bed bug bites all over.

Stacey, it was said, discovered the crawlies when she noticed bed bugs in her curtain a month after she took home the leased couch. Immediately after that, she called the company and returned the furniture. Meanwhile, though Rent-A-Center paid for a bed bug inspection in her house, Stacey stated that they never acknowledged the couch was infested.
But Stacey wasn’t alone in her Rent-A-Center bed bug problem. According to the Better Business Bureau’s website, the company already got more than 1,100 complaints in just three months. And based on the report, several of that complaints involve bed bugs.
