There were many cases of bed bug infestation wherein a single treatment was not enough to keep the pests out. In one housing complex in Columbus, Georgia, that was also the case.
A report has it that some residents of Nicholson Terrace, an apartment complex, were complaining of bed bugs in their units. Particularly, it was said to be a residential building for the elderly and the disabled under the management of the Columbus Housing Authority.

Melanie Williams, a resident who has been living with her mother for two years in the apartment complex, said that the critters started to become a problem in the building earlier this year. Based on her account, even after the pests were sprayed, she and her mom continue to get bed bug bites.
The Columbus Housing Authority CEO, Len Williams, stated that they take immediate action to every bed bug case. She explained that every time there is a bed bug report, they immediately bring in a third-party exterminator to solve the problem.

Nonetheless, Melanie Williams said that it took months for the manager of the apartment complex to get the pests sprayed. And as she related, that’s only after they called the problem a number of times.
