Particularly, it was determined that the Franco Apartments on El Dorado Street was the complex hit by bed bugs. Managed by the San Joaquin County Housing Authority, it basically provides shelter to the low-income earners and the senior citizens.
Many of the tenants said that they had been complaining to the housing authority about the pests’ presence for months already. But still, the problem is ongoing.
Authority officials though countered that they already sprayed the building a number of times. And though they suggested that the problem was likely caused by some residents who bring prostitutes and homeless people with bed bugs inside the complex, they added that they would continue to investigate and do the spray treatment.
