Alton Acres, Oakwood Estates and Alton Manor are all under AHA. They sum up to 246 apartment units under the authority’s management. In case they are all infested by the pesky insects and needs to be treated, it would cost the city nearly $250,000.
To cover the extermination, money allotted for other areas would have to be used. According to Andy Hightower, AHA Executive Director, the Summer Swim and Summer Lunch are the programs that would likely be affected by it.
