Going green has truly become widespread that even demanding celebrities dedicate some of their time not just in promoting the green way of living but also walking what they talk. More and more celebrities have become advocates of the going green campaign.
If you think that celebs are just contented with using eco-vehicles, wearing eco-apparel, having green-themed homes, buying organic products such as biodegradable rust removal products or natural cleaning products, being energy-efficient and the like, then wait until you’ve known what they’re really up to and what eco-organizations they’re supporting.
Robert Redford and Leonardo DiCaprio are board members of the Natural Resources Defense Council that is responsible for defending wildlife and protecting clean air and water through their environmental lawyers and scientists. The Green Day Band collaborates with NRDC to promote eco-message to the public.
Brad Pitt’s The Holy Cross Project together with Charlize Theron, Morgan Freeman, Natalie Portman and Tom Hanks are affiliated with the Global Green USA which is focused on creating green buildings and cities to stop global warming.

Clean and safe drinking water for the 2.4 billion people worldwide is also their aim. Getting rid of chemically-enhanced products which is one of the reasons of global warming is also encouraged. Resorting to eco-friendly merchandises such as natural cleaning products and organic rust removal products is one green option to take.
A non-profit foundation called the Environmental Media Association is behind the “green carpet” that encourages celebs to go green. The influence of television, film, music and entertainment is used to promote the environmental advocacy. Among its advocates are Ed Begley, Jr., Pierce Brosnan, Daryl Hannah, Mary-Kate Olsen, Edward Norton, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more.
