There is a certain rare meat allergy being tied with lone star ticks. And over the years, more and more people are suffering from it even in the regions where the specific tick is not present.
The said rare meat allergy causes hives, skin rashes and indigestion. In extreme cases, it causes anaphylaxis, a life-threatening type of a whole-body allergic reaction.
Based on a study sponsored by a certain clinical diagnostic and research company, people living in areas where the lone star ticks are got 32 percent chance of having the antibodies alpha-gal IgE. Those antibodies are basically the ones responsible for causing the allergy. However, the research also revealed that even in regions where lone star ticks are not present, residents are 23 likely to have the antibodies. And as it said that’s still a relatively high rate.
As of the moment, there is no clear explanation yet as to why people outside the southeastern U.S., where lone star ticks are, got an unexpectedly high percentage of acquiring the rare meat allergy. Nonetheless, the researchers stated that it could be because other ticks also trigger the reaction.
And so, considering that ticks can cause a number of conditions, including this one, it is therefore imperative that you know how to prevent any contact with them. Because once bitten, you are at risk of developing illnesses that could take months before being detected and treated. And needless to say, in some cases a number of those illnesses could even be deadly.
So what can you do? Well, there are several steps that you can take to keep the ticks away. However, one that you must not forget to do is to get a tick spray. And among others out there, you would want to get Tick Bully.
Unlike other tick sprays, Tick Bully is pesticide-exempt. It has met the standards of several federal programs and guidelines for green products. And as it contains no harsh chemical ingredients, you can surely get rid of ticks with it and keep them away safely.
